Empathy

If I reveal a personal flaw or admit to a mistake, it’s easy for friends to rub it in.

If it was the other way around, I wouldn’t rub it in.

Or, at least, I wouldn’t get any real satisfaction from it. 

If someone trusts me enough to tell me that they’re imperfect, I want to empathize with them.

Because I know that I, too, am imperfect.
